Cardboard Boat Race

Your Company Name Here is pleased to sponsor this page. Visit our site

With the largest body of water in Australasia on our doorstep, of course Te Anau has a cardboard boat race! It's organised by our wonderful Marakura Yacht Club right here in Te Anau, and there are very strict and serious rules on the materials you can use to build your cardboard boat.

It takes place in early January. But even before the date is announced, teams are gearing up by collecting cardboard boxes and plotting and planning in garages across Te Anau and Manapouri. Join them with your own crazy invention! You might just win!

More details and the strict and serious rules can be found on the club's website or go and see Iain at the Photo Centre on the main street, or call him on 03 249 7620 or message him on 021 189 8782.
