Club page: Manapouri Playgroup
Manapouri Playgroup is an organisation run by parents for children aged new-born to five years old - and it's free of charge! The playgroup meets 9.30am to 12.30pm on Wednesdays at Manapouri Hall during term times.
Playgroup is a place where parents and kids come together...
1. for the kids to play and socialise with others, explore a new environment, play and learn with a variety of great resources and toys and generally have a great time in a safe, friendly place.
2. for parents and care givers to come and share stories, have a cuppa and enjoy quality time with the kids and also other parents at the same stage of parenting.
The playgroup has free play and an activity set up for the kids. In the fully fenced outdoor area there is a great sandpit and jungle gym with a slide. Free morning tea is served at 10:30am with story time, then more play in and outdoors. There is an outing once a term, and an annual Real Journeys boat trip, and Christmas Party. The playgroup also has visitors from REAP, story tellers and much more.
The parents work together to make playgroup successful with rosters for willing parents. Come whenever it suits you!
